It’s a feeling around you that makes you happy and you excel in your work – I hope you are not thinking that you have visited a love blog – this is still a Webmaster blog.

Nice is the stuff I am talking about today on this blog post. You might have heard about lot of updates that has happened on Google and because of it – lot many sites have lost their rankings.

This is what you can relate to the “Nice” feeling.

What is Nice – I am talking about?
Its just about the right user experience that you have to give to any of your user when they visit your website.

Google loves it – if you give the right user experience to your visitors – since Google loves the content.

Now how to provide the right user experience: You just have to work on your content and it’s not about writing – but about the placement.

You need to place your content – or rate your content over the ads – you cant just post ads over your content – its counted as bad user experience and Google has become very very strict on this.

Conclude
Therefore, create the nice user experience so when user feels that it’s nice around them they will like your website – and at the same time Google will list your website ahead of competition.

You will score at the end of the day!

Titles determine the pages name, it usually describes that what you will be getting if you are viewing any particular page heading. Also, page headings or Titles are important on Google search because it’s your site’s face on search.

Also, It helps Google to distinguish between the different pages present in your website. But there has been a recent change in the Google policy. So, make the changes accordingly on your website/blog for it.

Title Policy Now on Google.com
Google is confused about the site titles – because people normally, would type in the titles like: About us – Contact us – Services etc.

So, if you see Google, there are billions of these similar page titles in their index, which is why Google changed the title policy. It has been done to have the proper differentiation between the pages of the website.

Like for example: You are having about us and your website name is Infogle.com – so you have to write it the same way – explaining in the title itself:

> About us of Infogle.com
or > About us for Infogle.com
> Contact us Information of Infogle.com

Titles should have a proper definition that what are they meant for. It will not only help Google – but it will benefit your site too on the search index.

Conclude
People searching for content will have proper information that what link they are clicking on and you could get more precise traffic for your site – that is why it is recommended now to have a definitive title for your web pages.

People who think SEO is just about backlinks are absolutely wrong – SEO is not just about backlinks and SEO is not a particular method or application that you could apply and gain your search engine ranking.

SEO is a practice – a series of methods that needs to be applied for any website before it rises in the search engine ranking.

Logic to Understand
The beginners – who jump in to the Webmaster field by reading a few texts on Internet about SEO, normally do the mistakes. See; if you can build 1000-backlinks then just think about a company who has around 20-staff members in their team and money to spend – they could build at least 10x more backlinks then you.

So, search engine should raise their ranking as they have better backlinks than you. But seriously this is not the case. Backlinks are just a part of the series of methods that you need to apply in SEO.

Therefore, building backlinks for SEO is history now. Google has evolved much.

What is Needed Foremost
Like always; you need to have some unique content and meaningful content present on your website – then let Google crawl that content and the content should be so meaningful that people cant ignore it.

Since, it is always said that work for humans and not search engines. Search engines will list those contents only which are liked by humans and is of good knowledge.

Conclude
Stop building backlinks – it might degrade your search engine listing – work on your content first – your website and then build the backlinks.

People new to blogging understand that blogging is mere writing about things. Blogging cannot be termed as content collection and for people who are doing content collection, it’s just the crap they are doing; moreover, they are also crapping the Internet.

Blogging and Content Collection
I am not being rude on this one – but most of the bloggers around the blogosphere – don’t do the blogging. They just do the content collection.

The difference between blogging and content collection; with blogging you are actually sharing the knowledge – something new to the world. But with the content collection you are just collecting information and publishing it in the same way.

Search engines do the same; they collect the content and present to you – now you are the one who actually filter the content and take what you required and what not.

The point I am making here is, if you are doing content collection, which search engines do, then you are not doing any kind of blogging.

More
This is the reason search engine ignores some of the blogs because they are not having any thing new. Therefore, work on your content and not your content collection – leave the job, which search engines are doing.

Google has recently issued new guidelines for multilingual sites. Multilingual sites – which represent the same data in different languages – meaning their content is no different – but for different languages of world they represent the data in different languages.

For these kinds of websites – Google has introduced new markup – so that they can be easily sorted and ranked. If you are having such multilingual sites – the new markup – can definitely increase your website traffic.

Markup For Multilingual Site on Google
Multilingual options are included on sites – to target the local audiences so that they could feel comfortable while browsing the site in their local language.

Now, with the new markup for multilingual URLs – it should now be done as follows:

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”es” href=”http://www.example.com/” />
contains the general homepage of a website, in Spanish

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”es-ES” href=”http://es-es.example.com/” />
is the version for users in Spain, in Spanish

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”es-MX” href=”http://es-mx.example.com/” />
is the version for users in Mexico, in Spanish

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”en” href=”http://en.example.com/” />
is the generic English language version

More
Google has implemented this markup so that they can easily sort the results for the geographic dependent location. Google has further specified that if somebody uses the above-mentioned markup/subtags – they would assume that you want to target the region.

Therefore, it’s the correct step and it would rather simply the Webmaster’s task as they just have to specify the markup/tags and it would be included in regional search results.

These days you could get traffic to your website from various sources – some sources can even give you instant traffic but most important is the quality of traffic.

You should always try to get the quality traffic as it does help in various ways – by quality traffic – I do mean to say that real human and niche targeted traffic to your website/blog.

Why Quality Traffic
When you get quality traffic to your website/blog it does helps in various ways such as:

Your website/blog can be popular soon – because you are getting real visits and if people get to see the interesting content – they might refer to others.

You get good advertising.

You get high income for your adsense ads. This is because adsense pays for the quality traffic; even when users don’t click on your ads you can still earn with adsense (via CPM) – if you are getting quality traffic.

Therefore, quality traffic is the way you could get higher on your ranking and income.

More
Now, there are many quality traffic methods for your website – now which one works for your niche – you have to find out with the trial and error method.

But basically, if you do forum posting and social bookmarking these methods can easily draw quality traffic to your website/blog.

Google recently changed its search algorithm to list search results more effectively. This change was due – as Google had stopped the “Realtime Search” results.

Changed Algorithm Nov 2011
With new Google search policy it is very obvious to get the top-results very quickly and precisely.

How this will affect you and what does it says to do.

The new Google search algorithm (Nov 2011) will list the fresh written content above the old content – but this is not all true.

Fresh content from the current trending topics will be listed above – like a recent happening in the world – or may be any company’s quarterly result. For example: if you search for “Apple Q4” result it will list the current result topics above and last year “Q4” result.

For the old content – You really don’t have to worry – if that is about some firm topic and is not in the current trending list – it will be sorted as previously.

More
I do doubt the future of backlinks – because if Google starts sorting the results automatically then how the backlink ratio will be defined.

This is a clear indication that Google now wants the fresh content on daily basis. Therefore, to have a good amount of organic traffic quickly you should now include the current trending topics more frequently.

If you are doing SEO and for this you are depending on the blog comments then you have to watch few things before you attempt to do blog comment work.

Blog comments are a good source to gain quick backlinks and at the same time it can help you improve you traffic instantly. You just have to remember that you post new links of your blog or website in every comment you post.

Few Things to Check
When you visit any blog and like to place comment – just check on few things before:

The blog is not nofollow.

There must not be more than 10-comments at the time you are posting.

Your niche must be same – but do not attempt to post in the exact same niche – try placing on related niche too.

More
The reason I have said so that not more than 10-comments should be there – because to pass on the link juice if there are more than 10-links then it is likely that google will not count this and in some cases if google counts than the weightage will be very less.

Last thing you need to remember is don’t try to post more than 2000-approved comments in a month. If you do so – it is very much possible that Google will straightway mark your website/blog as spam.

Google recently updated one more policy – it’s for sub-domains. As, sub-domains have always been treated as something not within the website and with the URL SEO structure – it made even worse for sub-domains to be used in websites.

People have been shy to use sub-domains in their websites because of Google and its policy. But now things have changed. New, sub-domain policy has been introduced.

New Sub-domain Policy
According to the recent update from Google – sub-domains that were previously treated as something not within the website is changed.

Now, sub-domains are treated the entity within the website. Links generated or linked from sub-domains previously were treated as outside links but now they will be treated as one unit.

I do think with this new sub-domain policy there will be some change in the URL structure as well.

More
Since, sub-domains links are now treated as generated within the website. More and more people will use it.

The reason Google must have changed this policy is due to the face that more and more seo hungry people were making sub-domains and linking back to their main domain. This could have given rise to spam link-building technique.

Now, with changed scenario it will still be powerful to use sub-domains as it will increase the onsite seo authority for any site.

I have seen in the last couple of days that website traffic has been fluctuating either its very low or very high – since there is no major content addition or deletion but then also traffic is fluctuating so much.

Some More
May be Google is taking it again – with their recent panda update – many websites were badly hit – I am assuming that this time they are doing the same or some new update.

How Traffic Increases Of Decreases
It’s actually a million dollar question that what works behind the scenes which actually rises you above in the search listing or pushes you below.

This basically happens due to backlinks – if your website acquired 5000-backlinks and its now ranking and suddenly it starts falling then the issue is mostly of backlinks. The websites on which you have placed your backlinks have lost some rank or juice and this directly reflects in your ranking too.

More Into
Therefore, it is said that SEO is the continuous process. In order to stay at particular rank – you should keep doing SEO on regular intervals.

Also, it is advised that you should alternately use your backlink method every month if you are trying to gain backlinks – so that search engines bots don’t mark your method as spam.
