Titles determine the pages name, it usually describes that what you will be getting if you are viewing any particular page heading. Also, page headings or Titles are important on Google search because it’s your site’s face on search.

Also, It helps Google to distinguish between the different pages present in your website. But there has been a recent change in the Google policy. So, make the changes accordingly on your website/blog for it.

Title Policy Now on Google.com
Google is confused about the site titles – because people normally, would type in the titles like: About us – Contact us – Services etc.

So, if you see Google, there are billions of these similar page titles in their index, which is why Google changed the title policy. It has been done to have the proper differentiation between the pages of the website.

Like for example: You are having about us and your website name is Infogle.com – so you have to write it the same way – explaining in the title itself:

> About us of Infogle.com
or > About us for Infogle.com
> Contact us Information of Infogle.com

Titles should have a proper definition that what are they meant for. It will not only help Google – but it will benefit your site too on the search index.

Conclude
People searching for content will have proper information that what link they are clicking on and you could get more precise traffic for your site – that is why it is recommended now to have a definitive title for your web pages.

People who think SEO is just about backlinks are absolutely wrong – SEO is not just about backlinks and SEO is not a particular method or application that you could apply and gain your search engine ranking.

SEO is a practice – a series of methods that needs to be applied for any website before it rises in the search engine ranking.

Logic to Understand
The beginners – who jump in to the Webmaster field by reading a few texts on Internet about SEO, normally do the mistakes. See; if you can build 1000-backlinks then just think about a company who has around 20-staff members in their team and money to spend – they could build at least 10x more backlinks then you.

So, search engine should raise their ranking as they have better backlinks than you. But seriously this is not the case. Backlinks are just a part of the series of methods that you need to apply in SEO.

Therefore, building backlinks for SEO is history now. Google has evolved much.

What is Needed Foremost
Like always; you need to have some unique content and meaningful content present on your website – then let Google crawl that content and the content should be so meaningful that people cant ignore it.

Since, it is always said that work for humans and not search engines. Search engines will list those contents only which are liked by humans and is of good knowledge.

Conclude
Stop building backlinks – it might degrade your search engine listing – work on your content first – your website and then build the backlinks.

People new to blogging understand that blogging is mere writing about things. Blogging cannot be termed as content collection and for people who are doing content collection, it’s just the crap they are doing; moreover, they are also crapping the Internet.

Blogging and Content Collection
I am not being rude on this one – but most of the bloggers around the blogosphere – don’t do the blogging. They just do the content collection.

The difference between blogging and content collection; with blogging you are actually sharing the knowledge – something new to the world. But with the content collection you are just collecting information and publishing it in the same way.

Search engines do the same; they collect the content and present to you – now you are the one who actually filter the content and take what you required and what not.

The point I am making here is, if you are doing content collection, which search engines do, then you are not doing any kind of blogging.

More
This is the reason search engine ignores some of the blogs because they are not having any thing new. Therefore, work on your content and not your content collection – leave the job, which search engines are doing.

Google has recently issued new guidelines for multilingual sites. Multilingual sites – which represent the same data in different languages – meaning their content is no different – but for different languages of world they represent the data in different languages.

For these kinds of websites – Google has introduced new markup – so that they can be easily sorted and ranked. If you are having such multilingual sites – the new markup – can definitely increase your website traffic.

Markup For Multilingual Site on Google
Multilingual options are included on sites – to target the local audiences so that they could feel comfortable while browsing the site in their local language.

Now, with the new markup for multilingual URLs – it should now be done as follows:

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”es” href=”http://www.example.com/” />
contains the general homepage of a website, in Spanish

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”es-ES” href=”http://es-es.example.com/” />
is the version for users in Spain, in Spanish

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”es-MX” href=”http://es-mx.example.com/” />
is the version for users in Mexico, in Spanish

<link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”en” href=”http://en.example.com/” />
is the generic English language version

More
Google has implemented this markup so that they can easily sort the results for the geographic dependent location. Google has further specified that if somebody uses the above-mentioned markup/subtags – they would assume that you want to target the region.

Therefore, it’s the correct step and it would rather simply the Webmaster’s task as they just have to specify the markup/tags and it would be included in regional search results.

Its official – SEDO changed its terms for the coming year 2012. The domain parking giant changed its terms for good as conveyed in the mailer.

About the Terms
As described by SEDO.com – they have altered parking policy for domains – as directed by their premium sponsor – Google.

They changed their terms for all the domains – that are not actually parked. SEDO.com will not provide payouts for the domains that are being parked using URL forwarding.

Reason Behind
This decision is made in conjunction with their primary online advertiser – Google. Reasons are mentioned below:

DNS parked domains are quick to load.

DNS parked domains have less downtime.

As, it loads quickly – therefore better CTR.

More
I do think it the right decision – this will not only give quality to the service – but also keeps the network healthy and fair.

We have seen that there is a sudden rise in the hacking attempts of blogs and websites – which are on wordpress platform.

With reports that hackers are getting in to wordpress sites/blogs through the plugins – as there are some plugins which have bugs and hackers utilize it – to get in to the site.

Therefore, it is always advised to keep your plugins up-to-date, so that hackers don’t get a chance to utilize the bug. But despite of all the efforts – hackers still get in to the wordpress sites and host their malicious and vulnerable codes.

Protect Your WordPress
I have tried every thing – updating plugins and installing new plugins – changing frequent passwords – but guess these all are of no help.

Then I tried the ultimate idea of changing the file permissions and bingo it helped – till now!

With File Permissions – you changed the permission so that no one can over-write it and this is what needed to protect your wordpress sites.

With no writing permission – no one from outside can edit those files.

More
Therefore, if you are struggling with regular hacking attempts on your wordpress platform sites – then change the file permissions – but don’t forget to update your plugins – as they are equally important.

With the growing competition in the online world – it has become very important that you have the good customer care team to back you up – irrespective to the niche you are marketing.

You need to have a good customer care team – even if you are operating an affiliate website and forwarding your customers to the client side for the final purchase. Online customer care can be defined by various methods – such as “Live Help” – but I personally don’t think it’s the most suitable way to keep a track of your customers – but yes some of the customers do choose this method – as its instant and fast.

But I still believe to have a strong backup of email customer care – because writing email is not just clubbing the words and delivering it to your client – but with email customer care team – you show your business outlook and how much effort you have put-in to solve your customer’s query.

Loosing Business
If you have such a team and even then you are loosing your customers you need to check with your customer care and track the emails they are sending.

More
You need to sound pleased in your emails – when you are writing to any customer. Also, the language of your email should be soft and appealing.

You need to understand that if a customer is writing you an email for more information or asking for quote – then those customers are at least 30-40% converted and with the reply from email customer care team – you need to increase the conversion percentage and see your sales pickup.

You should always try to get the quality traffic as it does help in various ways – by quality traffic – I do mean to say that real human and niche targeted traffic to your website/blog.

Why Quality Traffic
When you get quality traffic to your website/blog it does helps in various ways such as:

Your website/blog can be popular soon – because you are getting real visits and if people get to see the interesting content – they might refer to others.

You get good advertising.

You get high income for your adsense ads. This is because adsense pays for the quality traffic; even when users don’t click on your ads you can still earn with adsense (via CPM) – if you are getting quality traffic.

Therefore, quality traffic is the way you could get higher on your ranking and income.

More
Now, there are many quality traffic methods for your website – now which one works for your niche – you have to find out with the trial and error method.

But basically, if you do forum posting and social bookmarking these methods can easily draw quality traffic to your website/blog.
