How to Catch a Spam Offer in SEO

There may be many different options for different people to catch for spam – or spam related offers but it is always hard to pickup initially that will it end in spam or not.

But if you look at the SEO offers you can easily make out that what is going on – as it may not be too hard to get – but some offers could look mouth watering.

I was surfing at webmaster form and a thread grabbed my attention – it was about getting the page rank and that’s also within 30mins and if this was not enough for a big LOL – then wait for more – it said that PR5 can be achieved within 30mins – with some methods.

Now this is what you call spam – foolish spam – see simple to understand that PRs are not daily or hourly calculated. They take their time and calculation and get updated within that time frame – nothing can be controlled.

Yes you can do the methods – to have your PR rise – but not within 30mins.

Caution
This is not recommended by any-any one to try any method, which could completely damage your search engine reputation, and if Google gets angry on you – there might be a possibility it will de-list you.

As one cannot be 100% sure that how Google rates things and at what moment it will mark that particular method as blackhat. The best example in this case would be of directory submission – how Google behaved on the paid submission directories.

Therefore, slow and steady win the race.

Halt The Chase for PageRank

People need some reason to write and some reason to talk because I strongly feel that people often fall short of topics when it comes to talking about Webmaster things. We have to realize that Internet has grown but still it is not that much that all people are aware of the micro-developments that are happening to it.

Even I sometimes fall short of information and react to some silly things that are probably of no matter at all – alas! Human mentality.

But on core issue about the SEO which has been discussed on various platforms and webmaster sites and even the makers have clarified but still I see many people are falling short of this piece of information.

I am talking about PageRank here – even when Google has clarified the issue or dropping and various Webmaster sites have further written about the dropped then also many-many people are chasing for PageRank.

They have a point – even when Google Webmaster tools have dropped the PR stats – it is still available in Google Toolbar and most importantly it rates also. I would like to provide a very simple explanation to all those.

PageRank is the copyright stuff and the brand made by Google – and to finally drop a brand is a toughest thing for a big name like Google – but by removing it from Webmaster tools – it is a clarification that this does not mean any thing in Webmaster terms.

Therefore, all people who are chasing PR and paying high for linking back from high PR sites – just halt for sometime and realize the world has changed – so start gathering backlinks not the PR backlinks.

Page Rank Gets Crazy

I have written quite a bit about page rank and its working and know that how much people are worried about getting the good page rank – I don’t know the reason behind it but people are just so curious to get higher page rank.

But recently a good friend of mine confused me with his question and I have been researching for the answer but not found one. The question was, “how page rank works?” as he was having the domain which was only hosted and not parked with no content from last 2 years and accidentally he checked the PR of that particular domain and it was PR2 – so he bounced me this question that how it works?

But I was speechless because didn’t know the answer of this basic question – because as far as I know PR works on the backlinks and as your backlinks increases then only the PR increases and vice-versa.

As the domain did not had one backlink and then also Google gave it a PR2 strange but good for him. I don’t intend to write the name of the domain because google might play the other way round.

How PR Ranking Works

PageRank is simply Google’s way of indexing all content and websites based on importance. Since Google uses a set of algorithms (not humans) to make this possible, it’s important that you learn the key steps involved for making sure you are making the most of your website, your blog, and even your Yahoo! It’s important to keep in mind that not all links are counted by Google, and some sites can even be penalized if Google deems them unworthy. Links to a site that can be harmful can be ignored by Google if they also link to penalized sites. It is very important that all sites that have a PR0 are not linked on your site, since this may lead to a penalty.

Calculation
PageRank for each specific page is calculated by the number of inbound links from within and outside the site. The equation to calculate PageRank is relatively complicated, but a page’s PageRank is simply:

PR = 0.15 + 0.85*(the share of the PR of the link)

A page that has a higher value for its share, then, will increase your own PR naturally. The PageRank of a page that links to yours is a critical factor in the number of links on your page that become important. Essentially, Google PR calculates the final value by:

  • Determining the value of your websites inbound links on multiple pages.
  • The value of your website’s internal linking.
  • The number of pages within the site; the more pages that a website has, the higher the PageRank will be.
  • The number of dangling links n the page (sometimes not picked up by Google).
  • The number of outbound links (these an actually lower the Page Rank so it’s important that links are reciprocated as much as possible)
